I am fortunate enough that my mum used to be a hairdresser when she was younger. Although she does not know any updates techniques, she does a damn good cut and colour.
Ombré kits have been advertised everywhere but I was always worried that I would end up with a severe dip dye patchwork hair. I am very much of the "ahh it's only hair" mindset so decided to give one a go.... I mean what's the worst that could happen.
I'm so happy with the results so I thought I'd share with you the dyes that I use.
All over colour
Ombré ends
The cover of the ombré kit looks pretty scary but it's actually only one shade lighter than the colour I dye my hair giving it that naturally ombréd look. It is so easy to apply and comes with a brush to apply the dye. I literally leave it on my hair for 5 minutes (after the all over colour has already been applied, washed off & dried) and as soon as I see the colour lifting I wash it off.
Hey! What is the natural honey blonde colour like? Been wanting to use it for ages but not sure what it will be like all over? What colour does it come up as?
ReplyDeleteThe honey blonde is the colour I apply all over before I apply the ombre to the ends of my hair. I have naturally brown hair so it does lift the colour well without being too blonde, these photos are after a year of using this colour. I have found that other brands versions of honey blondes have been darker on me so might be best to shop around, or try this one :) x
