My most used Mac lipsticks

Over the last 3 years of so, I have managed to build up a pretty impressive lipstick collection, if I do say so myself. One of my faaaavourite ones to buy are Mac. Although I am spoilt for choice most mornings when doing my daily a makeup, I do seem to use the same four lipsticks time and time again. You know when you find just the right ones. All 4 are pretty well used, as I'm sure you can see from the photos, and I am due to restock on them, but for now I thought I'd share with you my most used four. I am forever getting asked which lipstick I have on, and although I do love a bright colour, I am also a huge fan of nudes for every day wear. I quite often don't leave the house without a lipstick on, for some weird reason I don't feel like I have my full face on unless it's finished off with a lippy. 

Close contact 

My every day nude lip. This nude has a creamy texture so lovely to apply. It is the perfect shade for me, having a warmer toned skin, for the perfect nude lip. This isn't one of Mac's Matt lipsticks, but it isn't very glossy when applied, just a lovely soft lightweight texture. I do have to be careful with this one as sometimes if I have more makeup on than usual, for example a night out, this one can make me look too 'cakey' and that I have just put foundation on my lips, not a good look. 

Good to go

This is one of Macs 'longwear' lipstick and is definitely my favourite go to shade. It's a coraly red and I get soooo many people asking me what shade this is. I can apply it once on a morning and only top up once or twice during the day so it really is long wearing. Similarly to the previous lipstick, it has a creamy lightweight texture almost like a lip balm I just love it! I really suit oranges and corals  with my skin tone so this is perfect for me, as sometimes red can be just too harsh on me 

Flat out fabulous 

This is one of my newer purchases but have already had so much wear out of it. It's a 'retro Matt' and I'm not quite sure what the difference is between this and their usual Matt lipsticks but it is quite stiff to apply. Once applied this lipstick will literally last me the majority of the day or night as it is a heavier lipstick than the other ones, and the colour really does hold. The colour hasn't photographed very well but once applied it is a deep purpley pink... Really is 'flat out fabulous'! 

Pink plaid 

Last but not least, pink plaid in Matt. Again this is perfect for every day wear as is a pinky nude, but this can also be worn with more makeup as has more colour to it than 'close contact'. Again this is a little tougher to apply as being Matt but is lovely and lightweight once applied, doesn't clog up on the lips and go bitty which some Matt lipsticks do.
